Upper Cape Cod BPW Bulletin
February 2010

President's Letter

Our January program with Mindy Todd as our speaker was very informative with a great deal of interaction from our members. Our programs continue to be of great interest and our thank you is extended to Sylvia Connor for her many ideas and contacts when bringing these interesting programs to our dinner meetings.

February 5, 2010 is National Wear Red Day. Heart disease is the number ONE killer of women in the age category of 20 and older. Nearly as many females die each year of cardiovascular disease than the next five causes of death combined, including all forms of cancer. PLEASE help to change these statistics, wear RED and spread the word.

Our February dinner program is to feature our own Corresponding Secretary, Jenn Kano. Our evening promises to be heart healthy and enjoyed by all.

Please note our updated menu for our dinner meetings as enclosed. We are attempting to offer a variety of choices at a cost of $25.00 which includes tax and tips. Please continue to notify Rosemarie Colella with your choice and a check in the amount of $25.00.

During the month of February please keep in mind our BPW/Foundation and the many contributions which they continue to make to the Business and Professional women in our Nation.

I hope to see all of you at our February meeting and please bring a guest as all are welcome.

Betty

The Nominating Committee will be making calls this month, looking for volunteers for the coming 2010-2011 Board. Please call Beverly Wall-Cedrone at 508-566-1876 with questions or comments for the coming year. We will schedule a meeting of the committee in the next two weeks.

Remember...
Bring items for our food pantry donation.

Please bring canned and packaged foods to our next meeting. We are still donating to all the Upper Cape food pantries on a rotating basis.

Why isn't there anything in this space?
Because no one sent the editor anything else to run. Last month you got subjected to an opinion piece by the editor because a filler was also needed last month. Thankfully, she hasn't decided to do write another personal rant this month. BUT... if there is space to fill next month... all bets are off! So ladies, how about contributing something. Short committee reports would be great, but so would other bits of news of interest to working women.
